Wilaya Directorates of Vocational Training and Education
The Vocational Training and Education Directorates in the province are responsible for developing and implementing all measures aimed at promoting and encouraging vocational training and education.
Tasks of the Provincial Directorates
- Ensuring the monitoring and application of various development programs and the execution of the extensions of the vocational training and education sector's activities at the local level.
- Identifying and proposing all measures that would ensure the consistent and cohesive development of vocational training and education activities, as well as implementing the operations approved in this regard.
- Activating, coordinating, and periodically evaluating these structures and vocational training and education resources in the province.
- Ensuring the promotion of collaborative relationships between vocational training and education institutions and economic sectors to develop apprenticeship and other training methods at the provincial level.
- Evaluating the implementation of specific partnership agreements signed with institutions and economic stakeholders at the local level.
- Conducting any study or individual research or investigation at the local level in the field of training and education.
- Preparing and updating the vocational training and education map for the province and monitoring its implementation in coordination with the relevant departments and bodies.
- Coordinating and monitoring activities related to information, guidance, and supporting professional integration.
- Organizing the collection, processing, and dissemination of information, especially statistical data, in the field of vocational training and education.
- Ensuring the organization, monitoring, and pedagogical supervision of vocational training and education institutions.
- Overseeing and ensuring the proper conduct of competitions and exams organized for vocational trainees and vocational education students.
- Diversifying training methods to meet social and economic demands.
- Ensuring the monitoring and supervision of private training institutions.
- Ensuring the implementation of programs related to employment or professional exams, managing, training, and improving the skills of vocational training and education personnel, and ensuring their follow-up and evaluation.
- Ensuring the preparation of budgets for vocational training and education institutions and overseeing their supervision and execution.
- Ensuring the implementation of sectoral and multi-year plans for training, skill improvement, and knowledge renewal for employees and contracted agents of vocational training and education institutions under the jurisdiction of the region.
- Ensuring the optimal use of physical, human, and financial resources provided to vocational training and education institutions.
- Coordinating the movement of trainers and pedagogical supervision at the local level.
Organization of Vocational Training and Education Directorates at the Regional Level
1. Directorates of Vocational Training and Education of Type I:
The regions belonging to Type I are: Adrar, Laghouat, Tamanghasset, Djelfa, Saïda, Guelma, El Bayadh, Illizi, Naâma, Tissemsilt, Naâma, Ain Témouchent, Timioune, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Ouled Djellal, Beni Abbas, In Salah, In Guezzam, Touggourt, Djanet, M’ghair, and Ménia.
2. Type II Directorates of Vocational Training and Education
The wilayas classified as Type II are:
Oum El Bouaghi, Biskra, Bouira, Tébessa, Tiaret, Jijel, Skikda, Sidi Bel Abbès, Médéa, Mostaganem, M’sila, Mascara, Bordj Bou Arréridj, Boumerdès, El Tarf, El Oued, Khenchela, Souk Ahras, Tipaza, Mila, Aïn Defla, Ghardaïa, and Relizane.
3. Type III Directorates of Vocational Training and Education
The wilayas classified as Type III are:
Chlef, Batna, Béjaïa, Blida, Tlemcen, Tizi Ouzou, Algiers, Sétif, Annaba, Constantine, Ouargla, and Oran.
