The visit included several vocational training institutions and aimed to assess local progress and announce new strategic initiatives.
The visit began in the municipality of Hassani Abdelkrim, where the Minister inspected the National Institute for Vocational Training. He toured its pedagogical facilities and attended a provincial exhibition showcasing products developed by trainees across various specialties—an illustration of the hands-on, practical nature of vocational training in the region.
From the grounds of the institute, the Minister officially announced plans to transform it into a National Center of Excellence in Agriculture, highlighting the region’s strategic role in the agricultural sector. He further unveiled a package of new measures, including the launch of eight new agricultural specializations starting from the upcoming training session. These specializations are tailored to current market needs and designed to enhance the relevance and value-added of vocational programs. The initiative also includes a doubling of trainee intake in agricultural fields, underscoring the government’s commitment to expanding training in this vital sector.
The Minister also outlined new mechanisms to support project holders among vocational training graduates, including mentorship and institutional backing to help them successfully translate their skills into viable business ventures. In response to ongoing technological transformations, he emphasized that the sector is undergoing a comprehensive modernization of technical and pedagogical equipment, with the acquisition of cutting-edge tools enabling trainees to engage with the latest innovations in agricultural practices.
The visit concluded at the National Institute of Vocational Training “Martyr Al-Amra Bachir,” where the Minister met with instructors and staff to listen to their concerns and expectations. Reassuring them about the future of the sector, he called on all personnel to maintain a spirit of optimism and solidarity, working collectively to elevate vocational training to new heights of excellence.
