As part of the side events of the African Startup Conference, the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education hosted a workshop on Centers of Excellence for Training in Innovative Professions. WorldSkills Africa – Building Continental Excellence

Within the same framework of events, the Ministry organized a workshop on WorldSkills Africa – Building Continental Excellence, highlighting the role of continental professional competitions in enhancing training quality, motivating youth to achieve excellence, and promoting vocational training as a strategic pathway to employment.

Participants emphasized that WorldSkills Africa serves as a key platform for identifying talent and developing skills across the African continent.
NEET Challenge – Youth Engagement Strategies

The Ministry of Vocational Training and Education organized a workshop dedicated to the NEET Challenge – Youth Engagement Strategies, focusing on practical approaches to enhance the social and economic inclusion of young people who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET).

The discussions highlighted the pivotal role of vocational training as an effective tool for reintegrating youth, equipping them with essential skills, and opening new opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship.
Future of Skills – ILO Perspective
The workshop addressed the Future of Skills from the ILO Perspective, highlighting major transformations in the labor market and the importance of aligning training systems with the demands of the digital economy and technological transition.
Speakers emphasized the need to invest in future-oriented skills and to promote lifelong learning to ensure the employability of young people.
High-Level Policy Dialogue on Training, Skills, and Entrepreneurship
The Ministry concluded its participation by organizing a High-Level Policy Dialogue on Training, Skills, and Entrepreneurship, featuring interventions from senior officials, including the Minister of Vocational Training and Education, as well as representatives and experts from African and international organizations.
The dialogue provided a platform for exchanging perspectives on training policies, skills development, entrepreneurship support, and strengthening continental cooperation in youth inclusion and economic development.
